Best B2C Business Project at Big Chip Awards 2017
It is with huge pride that I write this blog post. To win another Big Chip at the 2017 awards in our 26th year and this time “Best B2C Business Project”, a category we’ve never won previously, is a testimony to the hard work and effort everybody here at KMP puts in.
We recently rewrote our proposition to reflect more closely our current philosophy. “Design with reason and purpose that is creatively beautiful” is now our mantra. And that is exactly what we delivered as we interpreted the strategic needs of our client Aberdeen Airport in this particular piece of work.
As one of a number of features and functionality we presented to Aberdeen in our ongoing proactive creative process we suggested a “Passenger Timeline”. This was because our research showed that passengers are only interested in one flight at an airport. Either the one they are departing on or the one they are meeting. Our distinctive design, doing away with long lists of flights, allows passengers to see exactly that. So following the entry of the flight number the passenger is either departing on or meeting, they are presented with a personalised and time-based menu of information and retail offers. The purpose was to help passengers and drive revenues for the airport and it clearly does both as the results show. Plus it is a beautifully designed and elegant journey. Have look for yourself at www.aberdeenairport.com, put London in the search for a flight box, and then click on a flight as if it were yours. You can also see the case study at http://kmp.co.uk/projects/aberdeen-airport
In fact, having worked with airports for 17 years I can honestly say that Aberdeen Airport, who also happen to be a great client being both progressive and collaborative, are really challenging the boundaries of the passenger experience and demonstrating to much larger airports how it should be done. With more exciting stuff to come, watch this space or should I say their website.
My last words are aimed back to everyone at KMP - Just fantastic, well deserved and well done - again!
